My name is Elena Kolyasova and if I had to describe myself in three words it would be love, life and art. I was born and raised in Ukraine but for the past 16 years, I have been living in Europe and Asia, experiencing cultures of China, Thailand, the Chech Republic, Montenegro, Turkey and Indonesia. Travelling is something that greatly influences my art and feeds my inspiration. Initially, it was my mom, who taught me to love and appreciate art. Since childhood, I was introduced to classical music, ballet and artworks of Botticelli, Van Gogh, Dali and Vrubel. Later in life, I became inspired by photography, cinema and the world of fashion. I admire Peter Lindeberg, Anne Leibovitz, Patrick Demarchelier, Richard Avalon and other photography artists of the same league, whose creative works I saw on the pages of Vogue, L'Officiel and Rolling Stone. I was lucky to personally meet such inspiring icons as Henrik Purrienne and David Bellemere. I consider art being a vital part of my life. I have been doing photography for 5 years now, having experienced being both behind and in front of the camera, and it has always been my way of cognition of the world around me and my place in it. My works have been published in Elle Australia, L'Officiele Lithuania, Vogue. In May 2022 I am taking part in the ImagiNation Paris exhibition presenting my "Offline" project, which is about the human body, nature and the idea of humans being an inseparable part of Nature. This project was created as a reminder that spending most of the time online we forget our place in the real world and who we truly are. Breath of wind, a touch of sun rays, feel of rain and water on your skin...When you are naked, bare of masks and decorations there is only the pure conscious unity of you and nature.
